A member of On The Run Liverpool is preparing to run the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 18 October to support two charities.
Ryan’s fundraising page names the Stroke Association and The Brain Tumour Charity as the beneficiaries, with donations split equally between them. He has set a £1,000 target.
On the page, he says it will be his first marathon and that both causes have personal significance for his family.
The Liverpool running community is encouraging people to support the effort by donating or sharing the fundraising page ahead of the weekend.
Nicole Austin, who submitted the story on behalf of On The Run Liverpool, said: “We’re so proud of Ryan and what he’s doing.”
She said the group wanted to rally around him and show that he and his family had support from their local community.
Readers can find the campaign and its charity details on Ryan’s GiveWheel fundraising page.
